Each year, Hispanic Business Magazine recognizes successful Hispanic entrepreneurs in the U.S. who have demonstrated uncommon drive, innovative courage, prosperity, and civic responsibility. TwoConnect is proud to announce that its president, Javier Mariscal, has just been nominated for the Hispanic Business Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year award. Mr. Mariscal is one of the top 15 finalists in the country to be nominated for this prestigious award. He is also one of 3 top candidates nominated in the Infobusiness category.
Hispanic Business will present winners in five different categories, Infobusiness, Heavy Industry, Latina, Trade and Rising Star. One of these five winners will be chosen to be the 2006 Hispanic Business EOY (Entrepreneur of the Year) Award Recipient. The awards will be presented at the 16th Annual Hispanic Business Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Gala on November 9th at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
A Distinguished Career
As President and CEO of TwoConnect, Inc., a worldwide leader in enterprise IT business solutions, Mr. Mariscal has had a significant influence on the information systems integration industry during his 15-year professional career. Mr. Mariscal, who founded TwoConnect in 1994, has led the firm in designing and deploying a variety of innovative solutions for multinational corporations such as UPS, Exxon-Mobil, Microsoft, L’Oreal and Brightstar Corporation, among others.
For well over a decade TwoConnect has consistently been the first to market with a number of pioneering products. In fact, 2006 has been a banner year for Mr. Mariscal and TwoConnect. This year, TwoConnect announced a new line of products as part of its AdapterWorx brand. These products, including the Service Broker Adapter for Biztalk Server, the WSE 3.0 Adapter for BizTalk, and the SSIS Custom Task for Salesforce.com, are currently the only products of their kind in the marketplace and provide much needed help to companies seeking innovative answers to complex integration challenges.
Mr. Mariscal was born in Havana, Cuba in 1969 and immigrated to the United States in 1978. He graduated from Florida International University in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. In 1994, he attained his CNE (Certified Novell Engineer) and CNI (Certified Novell Instructor) certifications, and in 1995, Mr. Mariscal earned his MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer).
As an accomplished author, Mr. Mariscal has published books on software integration techniques, including Implementing and Supporting Microsoft SNA Server 4.0 published in 1999 by Prentice Hall, Simon and Schuster. He has also served as a consultant to numerous organizations, such as Microsoft, for whom Mr. Mariscal has delivered a number of training materials and technology presentations. Mr. Mariscal has also worked alongside many of Microsoft’s own development teams as a consultant on product quality and features.
Over the years, Mr. Mariscal has conducted countless technical seminars in numerous countries, such as Germany, Turkey, Paraguay, Peru, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and the U.S.
