Informa plc is the leading international provider of specialist information and services for the academic and scientific, professional and commercial business communities. Informa has over 150 offices in more than 40 countries and employs 7,500 staff around the world.

Informa needed assistance connecting its Salesforce.com application – via TwoConnect’s Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) – to communicate with the other applications within their enterprise.

Solution

The solution included:

  • TwoConnect’s Salesforce.com Adapter, which eliminated the need to deal with the APIs directly.
  • The Salesforce.com Adapter Metadata Wizard, which generated SalesForce.com Object Schemas to speed mapping source systems for creating or updating data.
  • A SonicMQ Adapter, which enabled enterprise messaging between applications.

Results

The project benefits included:

  • Simplified and accelerated integration – The SonicMQ adapter and Salesforce.com adapter by TwoConnect made it simple to bridge the gap between the ESB and SalesForce.com.
  • Seamless message transfer – Using the Salesforce.com Adapter Metadata Wizard instead of .NET 2005 has simplified the process for sending and receiving data from SalesForce.com.
  • Saved time and increased productivity – Informa now spends more time developing the process rather than the system interfaces, for sending and receiving data from Salesforce.com.
