Business Data Portals/Collaboration
Information is the lifeblood of your organization and there is an enormous amount of it inside every business management system. The problem is this; how do you get the right information to the right people at the right time to make the right decisions? TwoConnect Business Data Portal serves up precise, up-to-date business information to those who need it.  Data displayed for each person can be predetermined depending on the person's role.  Information is drawn directly from applications offering real-time “easy-to-read-views” of data and company performance. It can provide quick role-based access to vital business metrics via a Web browser and personalized views of key performance indicators (KPIs) to help decision-makers make better, timelier decisions.

Benefits of data portals and collaboration:
:: Easily harness collective intelligence. Streamline collaborative authoring and information sharing to quickly and easily build collective intelligence

:: Accelerate productivity. Empower your employees with immediate access to business applications and information

::
Provide a framework for collaboration. One single business data portal site can deliver access to applications, information, and processes across the organization

::
Monitor organizational health. Access and view key business data and metrics

::
Automate and reduce the costs of common business tasks. Tasks and data are delivered through a Web browser, saving time and eliminating related paperwork and data re-entry

::
Improve customer and partner relationships. Grant secure access to business information to work more effectively with customers and suppliers

Business Data Catalog (BDC)

BDC is a new business integration feature in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. It bridges the gap between the portal site and your business applications and enables you to bring in key data from various business applications to SharePoint lists, Web Parts, search, user profiles, and custom applications. BDC can be used to display data from your SAP, Siebel, or other line-of-business (LOB) applications via Web services or databases.

At TwoConnect, we are experts at creating automated solutions that take full advantage of the BDC,  including the creation of adaptors to easily integrate your data into SharePoint. For example, our BDC connector for SalesForce.com can integrate SalesForce.com data into your SharePoint web part pages and lists.
